Restoration Work |
||
![]() |
![]() Our philosophy of conservation and restoration is guided by precedents set by architectural conservators as well as established ethics of practice. We rigorously observe these standards regardless of the degree of intervention necessary.
We are proud to have developed a special sensitivity for the preservation of historic windows and a dedication to do what is best for them. We invite all owners/caretakers of leaded windows to visit our studio, inspect our previous work, and speak with former clients. Since the windows and sections at a site are usually in different states of disrepair, varying levels of intervention are necessary. Procedures range through removal, cleaning, straightening, repairing, and reinforcing to complete disassembly and re-leading, glass replacement, restoring lost and faded painting of figural elements, and re-installation. We have put together
a series of photographs taken from past commissions, showing the many aspects
of restoration work. To view this educational series, click here: If you own or lease
